Montgomery Village Animal Hospital Appointment Policy

Our appointments are in high demand, and you and your pet's care are our top priority! To provide the highest level of veterinary care to all our patients, Montgomery Village Animal Hospital will be implementing the following appointment policies effective August 1, 2026.

Scheduling

When appointments are scheduled, we reserve that time for you so we can give your pet our full attention. As such, we require that you arrive at your appointment on time.
ANY ARRIVALS MORE THAN 15 MINUTES AFTER THE SCHEDULED TIME MAY BE ASKED TO RESCHEDULE.

Deposits

An appointment deposit of $80 is required for any client that has not been seen at Montgomery Village Animal Hospital within the past 2 years.

A surgical deposit of $500 (or the full amount of the estimate if it is less than $500) is required for all surgical procedures and specialty consultations.

*All deposits must be in the form of a credit card or cash. For credit cards on file, payment will not be processed until the time of service. All deposits are applied to the final cost of your pet's visit. Deposits are refundable ONLY if the appointment is cancelled 48 HOURS/2 DAYS in advance.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your appointment, we request that you notify us 48 HOURS/2 DAYS in advance to avoid the deposit charge being taken as a cancellation fee.

A failure to cancel your appointment 48 hours in advance will be considered a "No-Show".

No-Show Policy

A No-Show is an appointment missed without cancelling in advance (48 hours/2 Days in advance as noted above). No-Shows inconvenience those who need medical care in a timely manner.

A documented No-Show will result in the requirement of a non-refundable full payment of estimated consultation charges in advance for all future appointments.

Exceptions

In certain circumstances (e.g. severe weather, medical emergencies, etc.), exceptions to the deposit and refund policy may be made at the sole discretion of the hospital management.
